Beautiful Country House Hotel
Lovely stay in this beautiful country house hotel. Even though there is currently some refurbishment work taking place, we had a great time. Friendly staff and a comfortable, clean and spacious room.

Fantastic Value
Value for money, it was clean, staff were helpful, breakfast was lovely, I would definitely go back, ideally situated for the motorways.

10/10 Exceptional

Overnight stay, quick and easy check-in and out. Breakfast good value for money. Clean and comfortable, 1 of the 2 room's decor needs some attention but didn't detract from stay. Would stay again. And Dog friendly.

Awful experience
The place was closed so we couldn’t stay

Andrew, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Lovely grounds, nice breakfast. But, decor was a little tired and water in shower was only luke warm.
Nicola, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Could have been so much nicer if we were told about the refurbishment
iain, 2-night trip

Nice old hall with period styling. Perfectly fine room. Great service from staff.
Helen, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A bit run down but a great sleep anyway

8/10 Very good

No complaints.
I thought it was ok, warm and clean in the room we were given. Currently no food option, but plenty of options locally.
James, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Refused to stay here as it was not as advertised, it was probably very nice when it was once looked after and the restaurant and bar were open.
Nick, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Beautiful building, very nice room. Breakfast frankly dismal.
Lisa, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A lovely old building in a quiet location at a fantastic price . Friendly staff , especially Tommy who opened the bar even though it was only myself requesting a pint ! Property in need of modernisation but for £55 b&b was absolutely spot on.

8/10 Very good

Comfortable stay
We only stayed for one night, and enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately the restaurant was not available while we were there, but there was a great pub/restaurant within 5 minutes walk. Risley Hall is a very old building so don’t expect hi tech, it’s shabby chic, but our room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

8/10 Very good

Very impressive property, the only let down was the bathroom so old looked like it was centuries old, and there was no menus, no times for.meals, check out etc. Very friendly staff.
Marion, 5-night trip

2/10 Poor

The worst ever hotel
Probably the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. A bit like a Blackpool dive from the 1960's - AVOID!!!
Andrew, 1-night trip

Gem
Exceptional building, a welcoming and friendly staff, good room, very nice breakfast. Faded glory!
Derek, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was freshly cooked . Overall the fabric of a fascinating building needed work.
Joan, 3-night trip

2/10 Poor

Abandoned and empty. No bar, no dining room, no kitchen, car park with giant pot holes and flooded. Bed was uncomfortable. There was hot water
John, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The property could have potential but looks very tired and service could be better
Gabriele, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Adequate for an overnight stop. Noise pollution from heating system was the only downside. Kitchen was closed, but was informed in advance, so it was fine
