This was , by far, one of the best places I have stayed in Michigan. I was there for the shoreline ride and the property is close to the fairgrounds. Across the street from the brewery. The owners are the most special people I have met. I will be back in 2025.

Felt like home
If you want to feel like you’re at home, this is the place to stay. Owners were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Room was pretty spacious and clean, all for a very reasonable price. It’s right next to sand dunes too. Quiet hotel. Highly recommend.

Great customer service from the couple that manages the hotel. They were very welcoming & attentive throughout our stay. Our room was very clean & the beds were comfortable. Our bedding, our room & even the hallway smelled clean (but not like an air freshener). I would absolutely stay here again. We just wanted a clean, affordable place to stay while we spent all of our time at Silver Lake so we didn't need a pool or anything fancy.

Wonderful staff and stay
The staff was great! We got in at 2:30 am and were greeted right away! We were shown to our rooms and offered water and he made sure we had everything we needed before leaving us for the night! They had a nice little breakfast in the morning and we there to say good bye! Excellent service and people, we would stay again for sure! :)

Very Much Recommended!
My initial review was apparently too long so here is an abbreviated version: This hotel is GREAT. My friends and I have stayed at quite a few hotels in the greater Muskegon area over the years (attending Electric Forest in Rothbury), and we all agreed after this weekend that THIS is where we will be staying now in the future. It is independently owned and operated, and you can truly see the difference while staying here. The couple who own it are wonderfully friendly and hospitable, and you can tell that they pour all of their energy into their business. Our room was very clean. Everything was in working order. The room's air conditioner worked GREAT (something that can be iffy at other area hotels). There was free coffee available in the lobby, as well as various snacks and drinks available for purchase. They even have free air to fill your tires while you stay. Any time we needed ANYTHING, their response was immediate. Previously, we would always stay at various corporatized chain hotels and would have very mediocre (or worse) experiences. We took a chance on this little hotel in Hart, MI and seriously could not have been happier with our experience. We kept talking about it all weekend and then again as we left... This place has a very warm atmosphere and was a genuine pleasure to call home for the weekend. So if you're planning a trip and currently reading my review, here is my advice: skip the corporately-owned hotels in the area and go with American Host Inn!
