2-night trip

2/10 Poor

No staff at hotel. Room tired. TV about 14” and other side of room. Damp and itchy place.
Paul, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Really overpriced , most basic uncomfortable room ive ever stayed in
James, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I was left on my own, worked out great, planned all my excursions to the lake district, ate when i wanted, slept in the day, if needed. Bike was safe in car park. En suite room. No complaints 5* cleaner was friendly, too!
Sinead, 10-night trip

6/10 Good

Easy to get to and parking on site was safe.

4/10 Fair

Decent shower but that's about it regrettably

Virtual check in to open a key safe on the front door of the adjacent building. Our room key wasn't in it. However, someone was in the annexe (where the rooms are) and met us at the door. Room was large, but quite dark as the only window was obscured by trees. There were cobwebs all over both at ceiling and floor level. Bathroom was very dated and the basin tap dripped loudly so we had to wrap a towel round it. There was damp on the ceiling of the bathroom and the sealing was mouldy. Grab rails were rusty. TV was too small for the size of the room and the remote was dirty and didn't work. The entire site had litter around it and the car park wasn't maintained. There was a boarded up window in the passage. On the plus side, the hot water was good as was the shower and the hotel (use the term losely) was centrally located. Ned was too soft for me, but my friend liked hers. Bedding and towels were clean. I would.have expected to pay under £50 pn for something of this standard. Wouldn't return and can't recommend.

Fabulous family suit

Beautiful hotel. Spacious rooms and super comfy! We had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant as well. We’d definitely return!
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

After phoning twice their published number to get access codes for my stay they responded mid evening to my calls. As I was not sure I would get a response I had had to make alternate arrangements to ensure accomodations for the night. To rub salt in the wound I was sent two parking tickets for 60 pounds each when I parked in their lot to make the two phone calls. What a joke!!
Michael, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Was pleasantly impressed with the room . Comfortable and twin beds were a second bedroom which was very nice giving us each our own space. Staff were friendly and price was good as well!

Over night stop

Over night stop over. Quick checking in, lodge and Brassiere in a good condition, staff were very helpful and friendly. enjoyed are evening meals, very easy to find. But the car park could do with a little tidy up.

ROOM OK BUT GROUNDS NEED TLC

The room itself was clean and large. However the outside appearance of the hotel needed attention although there was adequate car parking.
Ian, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Fine for a nights sleep. Does the job
Nathan, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

This is a good B&B for people who are passing through. It is pretty basic but this is reflected in a very reasonable price. The service was ok but suffered from being understaffed. The young man on the bar was very friendly and gave us some good suggestions for local places to visit.
Andrew, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

As i was on foot ( by Train ) i wanted some where near the Station to commute between Carnforth and Silverdale to access the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss and this Hotel fit the bill, very good value for money too for 3 nights. A decent sized room ( Double ) ,there is plenty of Car parking spaces also if needed,i didnt try their Breakfasts, as i needed to be out early morning.
Brian, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Very good sized room - but definitely the building and surrounding area were very 'tired' looking. When we arrived to be absolutely honest we didn't think it was open. That all said, the location was excellent (we used it as a stop-over travelling down from Scotland to The Midlands) and the staff we spoke to remotely were very friendly and helpful. Although The County Lodge Brasserie wasn't open when we stayed, the Station Hotel (few minutes walk away) was a decent place to eat. Overall, the location was decent value for money (but would be good to see weeds from guttering removed and broken windows repaired, then I think overall it would look far more appealing)
