We walked to downtown, 10-15 minutes max with shops and restaurants along the way. Downtown is vibrant and fun with people of sorts enjoying themselves. We will be back many times during our stay, mostly in the afternoons leading to dinners

The city is pretty much only open for business when cruise ships are in port. Other than it's pretty dead. The beaches are rocky but have beautiful water and amazing marine life.

You definitely need a car. Things are far apart. Make sure you make reservations early for car and restaurants. Overall an awesome place.

"This was an amazing experience. I arrived with a family of five total (young college age and two older adults). We had the penthouse and it was divine. Every detail was amazing. It was quiet but accessible to area attractions by car. Easy parking, friendly staff always available for question. I would love to stay at other properties they manage but I have to say we left our hearts at Bliss Bonaire!"

"Love that the Divi Flamingo Beach hotel and timeshare studios are very close to the water - footsteps from the ocean. The island's waterfront is a bit rocky and watershoes are recommended. The hotel's restaurants were good, the beach bar is heaven at sunset, the resort is walkable to town. The waters are among the best in the world for snorkeling and diving, and safe with no surf or surge. If you want action, nightlife, gambling, golf, go to Aruba. This island is quiet and relaxing, and so is this hotel. "
