We stayed here for 5 nights, after previously staying here two years ago. The hotel was as good on this visit as it was previously. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, although with varying degrees of English being spoken. The language issues were never really a problem, maybe we should try harder to learn Italian.
The room was a reasonable size and had efficient air-conditioning. The only negative was that the internet access could sometimes be slow. There were sufficient cupboards and drawers so we could unpack and not live out of a suitcase.
Breakfast was fine, on one day eggs and bacon were available, on the other days just a good cold selection, and of course, being in Italy, a selection of cakes. Again, nothing but praise for the smiling and helpful staff, in spite of our poor Italian.
The main reason we stay at Antico Borgo is the facilities. As well as the indoor sauna, small pool, and jacuzzi there is a good size outdoor pool, with a good number of sun loungers and umbrellas. We spent three mornings just sat by the pool enjoying the Italian sun, we only had company on one of those days.
The hotel management told us that we had chosen the Italian summer holiday period (last two weeks of August) to stay, which was the reason why the hotel was so quiet. This is primarily a business hotel, located as it is some distance from the popular coastal ar
