Convenient to the action
Very convenient location right across from the rail station, walkable to sites in all directions. There location itself is away from the midtown chaos tho, which was very nice. The deluxe King room was pretty small, but it’s affordable NYC. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable and the pillows were squishy. However the shower was large and wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

Came for a concert at Madison Square Garden. Excellent location for that. Hot breakfast in morning, close to station. Lots of amenities-all day tea and coffee in lobby. The rooftop bar has nice drinks, great views. Open till 1 am. Loved the hotel stay!

Also, the front desk staff person gave us a complimentary extension of 30 minutes for check out to accommodate our travel plans. The sign in our room said that check out was at noon (not 11). Those signs should be updated.

Watch out for overbooking
What a disaster. They waited for us to be dropped off and checking in to then say they overbooked and had no room for me. No call ahead, no we will make it up to you. Just a screw you, you have to go to another hotel because your reservation means nothing.

Great location
Rude check in person with an attitude. My room was prepaid but needed credit card for room and taxes.. i repeated it was prepaid and finally she said it was a deposit for miscellaneous or something. Then she stuck credit card in machine far from me and told me to pull it towards me. I pulled machine and she got all pissed because she wanted me to SWIPE my card and had to repeat something. Glad she walked away and a polite and caring young man finished the check-in.
