Budget-friendly, but clearly worn out

Free parking and easy access to the hotel are definite pluses. The room was clean and check-out was smooth. But the overall condition of the room was poor – the triple room felt very cramped, with worn-out fittings, a broken shower holder, and no hot water in the tap in the morning.

We had a pleasant night at this hotel. Situated in the quiet zone in the walkable distance from train station and the old city. The hotel offers the free parking on site, and there is a bus stop nearby (bus is free of charge). The room amenities are fine, just the hotel itself is quite old and plumbing should be changed.

We had a reservation booked early in June on Expedia in Brit hotel, Granville France, on the 8 of August. As usual expedia sends reminders of reservations prior to check in . We never received a cancellation or any problem of this sort before 8 August. Upon our arrival at the hotel , 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 8 being tired all day long, we were surprised to know that our reservation was cancelled with no reason ( probably overbooking) except system failure from the hotel. They didn’t have a room for us in close hotels except in Brit Hotel in Saint Lo 53 kms away with same price as we reserved in Granville. We went to Brit Saint Lo only to discover that the staff in Granville was lying to us . The manager and staff wanted to sell us 2 rooms with double price, ignoring the fact that we didn’t create the issue . Brit hotel did. I don’t recommend this hotel , knowing that this is the first time it happens with me. This hotel have no respect to clients .

Honnêtement j’ai du mal à comprend comment une note aussi haute est attribuée à ce logement. Il y aurait besoin d’un sérieux coup de neuf et l’isolation est médiocre que ce soit pour dehors avec les fenêtres, on entend tout et celle des chambres, on entend tout à l’extérieur donc dès que quelqu’un rentre l’hôtel entier est réveillé. On pouvait aussi entendre le voisin d’à côté aller aux toilettes et ronfler. Le matelas est très fin. Je conseille vraiment que pour une nuit si vous avez pas le choix. Je n’ai pas pour habitude d’être exigeante mais là éviter le bruit c’est le minimum pour dormir.

J' ai passé une nuit dans cet hôtel avec ma petite fille de 7 ans. Très bon accueil du personnel. Nuit calme. Par contre la chambre a besoin d' un rajeunissement : peinture abîmée, meuble lavabo cassé, serrure de la porte qui fonctionne mal. Nous avons toutefois passé une très bonne nuit.
