Clean and reasonable price for short stay
In the night a bit noisy because of the driving road.
Towel is not free.
You can rent a bicycle but the hotel manager is somewhere (I haven't rented one, though).
Transportation is not so much convenient because in order to reach some place (besides downtown) typically you may need to take a bus but a desired bus may come one or several stops away. If you buy a one-day free bus ticket from the Keage station it can be a bit more convenient.

Never try this place!
It was terrible place I ever seen. I think, it was not a real hotel, they had only 3 rooms! No one was there around noon. Terrible bathroom, defiantly no clean!
I'm not sure how it can be added in Hotels.com (:

Terrible hotel is more expensive! No refund!
I booked a room in this hostel for a visit to Kyoto in 2016. The room's AC did not work. The room was about 35 degrees C and smelled like a hamster cage. A one-year-old baby screamed the entire night and because the walls are very thin, it sounded like he was in the room with me. The bathroom was not clean and was basically unusable. I had to leave after one night and they refused to refund my money for the nights I had to cancel. Orbitz contacted them and could not find anyone to speak with who spoke English. I found a wonderful and clean hotel downtown for a much better price! I am so sorry I booked this hotel. I would not wish it on an enemy.

Convenient and quite, very nice staff
Took a while to find the hotel (it's down a little alley a two-minute walk from Keage subway station), but once I got there the staff was very helpful. Facilities are small but clean, and the area is super calm. Easy access to the subway station and being a 30-minute walk from night life and restaurants makes the location great.

Room, bathroom, and restroom are quite small. No free towel is provided. You have to buy or rent. Very hard to find the hotel. WiFi didn't work. The price is exorbitant or even doubled comparing with similar quality hotel.
