Would love to be able to write something more positive about this hotel, but cannot. It is on a great location, one street back from beach, with great restaurants and coffee shops near by. But the staff are lethargic (5 people at the front and in the restaurant sleeping or glued to their smartphones 23/7). The tree says we were there we saw on one eating in the restaurant and it's not surprising, given the fact that even from the street the place gives out a "we couldn't be bothered " air. The room was clean but there was no soap or shampoo in the dispensers in the bathroom. When we inquired at the from desk we were told the hotel no longer supplies toiletries- guests are expected to bring their own. There is a book exchange and we donated a book to it, only to be told that if we wanted to take a book, there would be a one dollar charge. There is a lack of midrange hotels on Kuta, but I cannot believe this is the best of what is available. On a positive note, the hotel does rent scooters and was very helpful in outfitting us with one.
