They have this very heavy doors that even shake the walls when close, so you wake up every time your neighbours come back late at night or leave early. Cleaning is every other day only. Staff at the reception desk is extremely nice, though

My home away from home in Düsseldorf. Only thing missing is a reliable WiFi signal in the single room I staid in. It's in the periphery of the property, so that could be particular to this room, and a repeater should do the trick.

Little hotel punching way above its weight. Great staff, my room was really spacious, clean. I am a return offender, this place is starting to feel like home ;-) Also great that they have the VRR public transport ticket for 4€ / day, which lets you get around everywhere in the area of the VRR, which covers a lot of ground. A great deal for everybody using public transport.

Terrible hotel
By the way, there were stains on the toilet lid. We could not sit without putting toilet paper. In addition, the hotel held us responsible for their own 50 years ago design bathrooms with a message that the floors were wet after leaving the hotel. A terrible hotel.

The hotel is very old style and I had a really bad impression when I arrived late at the night. The room was fine very clean and luckily there wasn't moquette like in the corridors. Small hotel, good value. Within walking distance of Düsseldorf Central Station, the reception is available around the clock. Personnel is friendly and helpful. My one-bed room was not very big, but, again, I can't complain. I want to sleep there, not play soccer with my friends. If you are in Düsseldorf for a couple of days and / or need to get around with public transport, get the 4€ ticket day pass for VRR at the reception. It is for the entirety of public transport, not only in the city, but in the whole region, from Kaldenkirchen at the Dutch border in the West to right up to the outskirts of Cologne in the South, Unna in the East and Bocholt in the North. Usually that pass costs in the vicinity of 20€.

The good: If you’re visiting Düsseldorf for Little Tokyo then this hotel is at a perfect location. It is within walking distance towards every restaurant and store you can find here. The staff speak perfect English and are friendly. The bad: The room has no airconditioning and I was visiting at a very hot day. They provide a fan so it was just about bearable, but definitely not comfortable. Also the hotel description on Expedia mentioned parking, but there’s no guarantee there’s space when you arrive. I ended up parking at the nearest parking building. Which wasn’t so far, but I probably would have picked a different hotel if I knew they couldn’t provide it anyway.
