2/10 Poor
14 March 2024
NEVER AGAIN. The Tijili, now trading as the Liberta Suites, was closed down by the court due to bankruptcy, DURING our stay.
We left early in the morning for a day of touring and when we got back mid-afternoon, we were told the hotel was closed and we had to pack our things and leave. The woman who confronted us was rude, lacking any empathy and couldn’t have been any less helpful.
They completely washed their hands of the issue. How they continued to accept bookings when they’d been declared bankrupt 6 months prior is astounding. I’ve since contacted them via the email address we were hand balled to, to ask for the remaining booking to be refunded and they haven’t even had the decency to respond.
BE WARNED if you book here, you’re taking a risk that you’ll be out on the street and your holiday ruined.
Stay away from the Tijili brand and there’s no way I’d want to book with Liberta Suites either. The whole situation cast a very dark shadow over our Bali experience. Do yourself a favour and book at the Courtyard by Marriot down the corner instead, which is where we ended up, for a far better experience.
