A Wonderful Stay
Hostal La Base was very comfortable and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. I stayed here twice on the bookends of my trip and highly recommend. Great location to the bus station and restaurants and markets within walking distance. Breakfast was a buffet and more food than I expected.

Comfortable and homey guesthouse conveniently located (ten minute walk to the Rodoviario bus stop and to the main drag). The hot water flows quickly and has ample water pressure. Bed/pillows are comfortable. Staff were very personable and gracious with my terrible Spanish. Breakfast is basic but hits the spot. Would recommend a stay here.

La Base is one of the best stays that I had in my last trip. The staff exuded remarkable hospitality, always there with a helping hand. Closer to bus station and not center of town or waterfront, but everything was within walking distance. Breakfast was alright. Shower did not work right. Room was a bit noisy with wind and other guests. Overall was a good stay.

Service was excellent, breakfast adequate, location was very convenient for transportation. The only thing that might be able to improve is that the window of my room was not sealed well, wind kept blowing in and right over my bed at night, which was a bit cold, I wore my down jacket to sleep. After all it is Patagonia.
