It was only a 1-night stay so we didn’t need anything extravagant and weren’t expecting much, so when the rooms smelled slightly of cigarettes and the sinks leaks and the doors were finicky - it was fine. What was awful was the front desk man who was incredibly rude to our group. At check-in, he refused to look at my I.D to find my reservation, he instead wanted my visually challenged self to squint through the glass as he annoyedly scrolled through his calendar to find my name. Afterwards, he threw the keys down on the counter and left. In the morning he refused to help our group call taxis (we don’t have a Korean phone numbers) and disgruntledly told us to walk to the airport bc it was right there (2.5kms??). It was 6A.M. and we had luggage. Jeju was wonderful and he really dampened our experience at the end.
