Highly recommend trying out many of the restaurants and bars in the old town. I would highly recommend hiring a car to explore stone the area, including Perast and the Lustica peninsula. We drove up the serpentine for incredible views of Kotor bay

Kotor is a great city that shows its many layers of history. The biggest down side is the number of people that come for just a few hours each day on cruise ships. They make the town very congested and don't seem to add much to the economy.

The Old City is small and easy walkable, NOT high heels! 2-3 hours fairly enough. A lot of places for good eats Summer is not good option - very hot. We were 15Jun and was 34 Celsius

Lots of places to eat. Food generally very good. Centre very busy but eat outside city walls and it's a lot quieter. Scenery and mountains stunning.

The streets are really narrow, so give yourself time to get to where you are going and prepare for potential traffic jams at times. Kotor Was very crowded and finding parking was extremely difficult, but we drove onto Perast, and it was a fantastic

Buzzy but busy, in part due to the regular cruise ships stopping by everyday, sometimes as many as three

If you're into hiking as well as a beach experience this is an amazing place!
"Incredible spot in Old Town Kotor. Staff was extremely helpful and understanding after spending hours getting into the city. If you have a car, make sure to ask for the 1 public parking spot they have. "
"Absolutely fabulous stay! All of the staff are so kind, helpful and genuinely amazing! Food was plentiful and delicious. We loved the area and the cottage feel. It is stunningly beautiful. We could not have had a better time. Definitely recommend this special place."
"The Kotor Nest is a hidden away gem. The staff is friendly and helpful and the accommodation, right in the heart of Kotor Old town is comfortable and stylish. Aircon worked well. No breakfast available (just coffee from a machine which was good) but steps away, are many restaurants with breakfast options. Shared fridge space was a help. Reception is up two flights of stairs, no lift, just to be aware. We highly recommend this hotel."
"Beautiful property. Our room was huge, with a kitchen and washing machine. The patio was nice. The food at the restaurant was lovely and well priced for what you got.
The people were very friendly and answered our many questions.
The pool was beautiful. The only drawback was the distance from the city center but they offered rides for a fee (cheaper than taxis) and parking was free from what I understand. "
"This hotel was right on the bay with beautiful views. We were delayed for our arrival and were very pleased to see their restaurant was open until 23:00. The food was delicious. The room was clean and spacious. The parking was safe with plenty of spaces. It is a short drive to old town. The road is very narrow but added to the appeal. "
