"I'm rating this property in comparison to the hotels and short-term rentals I've stayed at in the United States, England, Northern Ireland, Denmark, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, and Nigeria. In all my travels in these countries, Royal Golf Views (RGV) is the only apartment that has exceeded my expectations. It's located in Ahodwo, one of Kumasi's safest neighbourhoods. The unit I booked was designed with high-quality finishing, not shiny sub-standard materials. It has a central air-conditioner and the regulator is decentralized, with each space in a unit having a separate adjustable thermostat. Also, RGV is clean, well-maintained, and good value for money as it's very spacious. In fact, when visiting Kumasi, there's no need to waste your time checking anywhere else until you've contacted RGV to determine the availability of a unit. This is because others over promise and under deliver, unlike Royal Golf Views. "
"The place itself is nice but there are stuffs that they did I never seen or heard before
I booked the place online which was $60 or $70 night and booked 3 days and paid everything I came to the property showed everything to them and there was a confusion between the owner and the manager.they are both saying different things and they came to agreement that it’s $130 a night so I need to balanced them some amount which I didn’t understand and I didn’t wanna argue so I said ok cool and later they said the money I paid through Expedia they didn’t received all the amount so I need to add another amount again and I was like really , if Expedia didn’t give you all the money that’s not my business so I decided to pay for hat they asked for and didn’t stay there for the other remaining day. Other than that it was cool in there the WiFi was fast too"
"Condo de la chichi exceeded my expectations about Kumasi. The place is modern, the staff go above and beyond to make sure their customers are comfortable, and there are plenty of amenities as well. Pierr was exceptional from the beginning to the end. I will be at Condo de la chichi the next time I am in Kumasi. "
"The place was really good and staff were lovely , tasty food with a reasonable price. I felt really good staying there only one thing I didn’t like it’s the bed was two single bed out together which felt uncomfortable to sleep."
"Cant recommend this place to anyone. Usually i dont do bad reviews but this one, not not. Booked 2 days ended up leaving on day 1. Trash inside the room. "
"All good and as expected. Last bit of road to resort could do with a little tlc as our 2 wheel saloon bottomed.
Staff helpful and knowledgeable about local links. Whiffs of marijuana didn't bother me - but might some people.
Generally a nice experience."
"My stay at Ramat Luxury Hotel was disappointing, and I cannot recommend this hotel to future guests. The road leading to the property is in terrible condition—our driver damaged his suspension and exhaust trying to reach the hotel. Transport to and from the area was difficult at all times of day, often leaving us waiting by the roadside for up to an hour.
The hotel fell short of the luxury it advertised. On arrival, I found ripped sheets, and the fridge wasn’t working until the manager got it running. Hot water was available only on request, requiring me to repeatedly ask staff to turn on the boiler. The room phone was disconnected, making communication difficult. Additionally, there was no advertised WiFi, which posed a major challenge and could have been a serious issue if not for my friend’s mobile data.
The most disruptive issue was the frequent power outages. Over two days, the electricity went out, disrupting my short stay in Ghana. On the first day, the hotel only secured a generator after constant complaints, by which time most of the day had been wasted. On the last day, the power failed again, and even the generator stopped working, prompting me to leave early.
On a positive note, the breakfast provided was good. However, the quality of breakfast alone couldn’t make up for the numerous issues throughout my stay. While the hotel has potential, and the manager tried to assist, there are significant improvements needed in infrastructure, amenities, and reliability. "
"The hotel isn't really ready to receive people, we were told that we were not booked when arrived at the hotel, even though we showed them our paid reservation reference and email, they said that they only accept bookings from Expedia and haven’t heard of Hotels. Com, so we should pay again, I refused to pay and showed them the details and payment. This made the check in really long, because the director of the hotel had to be convinced that the website really existed. Luckily the daughter of the director was able to find the booking and payment, so we could go to our room.
The WiFi didn't work on the our floor, the restaurant didn't have most of the food on the menu, and the food was very expensive and tasteless. There was no hot water for taking a shower, our room wasn't cleaned over the three nights we stayed. We liked the location of the hotel, and when we met the director on our last day, she informed us that the hot water was solar powered and the staff, should have switched it on for us.The hotel would be great if they had good management. "
"All the photos are deceptive. There is no airport shuttle for pickup and no breakfast. Rooms have faulty equipment and lightning malfunctioning. Very deceptive advertising "
"Clean environment, courteous staff. We felt safe 24 hr security personnel. Quiet community.
We only didn’t have hot water the whole 30 days stay and that was uncomfortable, we didn’t take a shower for once. We had to boil water in a kettle every day between 5 of us wasn’t an easy task at all."
