So many wonderful things to say about Lima! But mainly... Lima is a vibrant place with GREAT food. Beautiful parks filled with so many different kinds of birds. People are often willing to help and are kind. So many great things to buy as well!

All large cities have their problems but I found Lima friendly and full of grand architecture and an amazing amount of art. The streets at night were full of people of all ages enjoying their city, creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement.

This city has something for everyone! You can visit pre-Incan ruins and modern high rises on the same walk, and the Spanish colonial architecture in the center is taken care of beautifully. The food and natural surroundings add to the charm.

Barranco was definitely the place to stay in Lima. A lovely upscale area with a relaxed seaside walk and multiple excellent restaurants. We were in Miraflores (more central) for museums and markets, which was a bit more run down.

Lima is a wonderful city, if you like good food, culture, museums and in general the sort of vibrancy big Latin American cities (Bogotá, Mexico City, Buenos Aires) have to offer. And Miraflores is a wonderful area.

Lima is a large charming city. We enjoyed exploring Miraflores and Barranco. Besides some of the best restaurants in the world, there are many charming walkable neighborhoods.

Make sure you walk down Abancay avenue which is close to the Centro Historico (presidential palace). It was an experience (adventure) with more traffic of busses, cars and trucks than any other place I have seen in my life's travels.

A visitor needs to do some self education and figure out where the interesting places are ahead of time but there is much to do in the city. Museums, restaurants, the Malencon, shopping, walking, culture, music, etc
"This property is so beautiful, it is restored mansion in the San Blas district. It is an easy walk down to the Plaza de Armas but a little climb back from the Plaza (which was hard for me at elevation so I just Ubered back). The staff were awesome. I just loved this place I would totatlly stay here again and recommend this property!"
"We were a family of 5 visiting from the states. Hotel is well situated in Miraflores. We walked everywhere, only needing Uber when it was out of the area like Centro Histórico. The breakfast buffet is nice even though it was not included in our hotel package, but it was convenient. There are plenty of places to eat around the area. Kennedy Park is close by as well. Overall good experience. They have dispensing shampoo, conditioner and body gel in the shower. You don’t need to pack extra toiletries. It’s not miniature in size. The rooms have a mini fridge. The only thing I was disappointed with was the room coffee maker. I could never get it to make American coffee, just expresso. Staff is very friendly and eager to help. I found the property to be clean in the rooms and common areas. "
