LOVEDDDDD this resort. The staff is amazing, friendly, and attentive. The resort itself is super clean and has a lot of activities going on throughout the day. Always had fun activities during the day and shows at night. The restaurants all had delicious meals & atmosphere. This was simply an excellent resort. The staff were professional, friendly, and fast at addressing requests. Turn down service was in the morning and evening so room was always clean and stocked up with snacks, water, juice, beer, and liquor. The beach was clear, clean, and beautiful with waiters immediately offering drinks. Every part of the resort had a standing food/snack/drink spot, enough stack to outdoors towels and wide space covered sitting areas by the pool, swim up bar and beach. They also had a number of free standing games and exercise spots all around, including mini golf, stationary bikes, Chess, pool, billiard, basketball, volleyball, bean bag toss, swings at d bar, TV at the bar. And many more fun activities. It was an Excellent experience.

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we were absolutely blown away with our experience. We were greeted by name when we arrived and with champagne and a cold towel. Everyone was so polite and helpful. The food was amazing, they had many different dining options, even the room service food was delicious. The pools and swim up bar was a great time also. My partner and I had an enjoyable stay at Secrets Maroma Beach, but there are a few things to consider before booking at this property. Check-in: The process was smooth and easy, though they do send a salesperson your way to try and upsell the preferred club packages. Simply say "no thanks" and you can avoid the sales pitch breakfast. Food: This was a disappointment for us. Despite reading reviews about the mediocre food, I hoped they weren’t accurate, but unfortunately, the food was quite average. It’s not terrible, but for the price you’re paying, it doesn’t meet the standard we’ve experienced at other Secrets properties. Room: The hotel is 15 years old, and the rooms are not as fresh as they appear in the photos online. Some nights, our room felt a bit warm—the AC doesn’t go below 70°F. When we raised this issue, they sent us a fan as a solution, which felt subpar for a five-star hotel. Beach: The beach was okay, not amazing but not bad either. It’s large and great for swimming, but when compared to other resorts in the area, it’s pretty average. Overall: While we had a decent time, I don’t think I’d return to Secrets Maroma Beach. There are better options nearby for the same or better value.

We had an amazing and relaxing trip to Secrets Maroma Beach! We stayed in a preferred ocean view room which was perfect. The room was large and included a soaking tub on the balcony. Our concierge, Emmanuel, was spectacular! He was always available to help out booking time at the spa, answer questions, and made sure we had the best experience possible. We took advantage of the hydrotherapy at the spa that is included with the preferred package. It was so relaxing and I definitely recommend using this service. Alex ran the hydrotherapy on most days that we went and he was great. He guided us through the therapy and then always got us cucumbers for our eyes as a relaxing way to end the therapy. We also had a massage at the spa which was amazing! All of the restaurants were delicious. We had breakfast at either the preferred club or the buffet. Both were great with plenty of options. We ate dinner at Bordeaux, Portofino, Seaside grill and Himitsu. We enjoyed all of these restaurants but especially loved our experience at Himitsu. We went there for dinner on our final night and our waiter, Francisco, made sure it was special. He put together a great tasting menu for us that we truly enjoyed! I definitely recommend seeking him out and asking for his special tasting menu. We really enjoyed everything Secrets Maroma Beach offered and are already looking forward to returning.
