The hotel itself was beautiful, very clean, we were very happy with the size of our room. The only bad thing I can say about Buffalo Thunder is on a Friday night, they had 2 places open to eat, one of which had an hour+ wait time.

Nice asthetics , but that’s it
It was obvious this hotel had been around years . The luster of new, had worn off and they no longer cared about their guests . Maid service was spuratic , front desk person was sleeping in back room and we couldn’t get anyone to help forever , pool had trash in it, we never saw it cleaned , restaurants were closed except one that was very expensive. Drink machine didn’t work , no other place to get drinks unless you walked to casino . Casino had zero music - didn’t allow drinking in casino while gambling ( had to drink inside bar area ) and no smoking inside . Aside from all that , the location is so far from Amy town or other restaurants, we only ate one meal a day when we left and drove 20-30 minutes away . It states this is in Santa Fe and it was not .

Hi: My name is Manfred Schreyer, and I arrived on Saturday, Aug. 24th at the hotel to visit the Opera. I checked in late afternoon, changed, went to the Opera and afterward I visited with my friends. I arrived back at approximately midnight at my room and noticed that the A/C in my room (I believe it was #2123) was very, very noisy, and I woke up multiple times from the noise of running and off/on switching. In other words, I DID NOT have a pleasant night at the hotel. The next morning I told the front desk about it and her answer was: "We could have switched your room, if it was noisy" -REALLY??- You know to pack up clothes, etc and to switch room is crazy in the middle of the night! I am very, very disappointed in my stay and in the facilitation of the process. Before I write a Google review, I would like to inquire about if you would accommodate a discount process for my next stay, because I believe my previous stay was unacceptable for any guest. I previously had written a message on your Facebook Page with no repsonse from your end. Respectfully, Manfred Schreyer

Buffalo Thunder Resort
It felt very comfortable and homey as soon as you walked in. Were greeted by friendly staff as soon as you entered the building.
