The best places to go shopping in Penang range from malls with exciting basement clubs and live puzzle rooms to marina frontage shopping centres with onsite museums. Though Penang's street market scene receives a lot of media coverage, we are fans of these air-conditioned complexes because more often than not, there are many deals to be had for the serious bargain hunter.

Most of these malls house designer brands that offer serious discounts, especially if you visit during the sale season. Read on for our guide to great shopping opportunities to enjoy in Penang.
