This amazing historic house is situated in a quiet, lovely farming area. It is elegant and we enjoyed our stay. Room was large and beds comfy. Our hostess treated us like royalty.

We found Catherine to be a most gracious host! Her home is warm, and our room was large with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is small. Our breakfast was delicious, and we had the opportunity to chat with Catherine — what a kind, welcoming person. She made dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant—Loft 56. It was one of our tastiest meals on this trip. She called a cab to take us to our next stop, and all-in-all couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s a peaceful, comfortable, rural Irish experience. Thank you, Catherine.

I was forced to totally cancel our whole trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. With apologises, I thought I had canceled this hotel stay as well. So we never arrived. Can you please arrange for at least a partial refund of any deposit collected. So Sorry. Hope to someday make this much desired holiday become a reality. Robert Brasch

Peace & Quiet in a comfortable Country House B&B

Stayed at Kiltariff House for one night, with my wife. Just outside Rathfriland, it's an old house with lots of character, that in previous times served as a large family house for a farm behind. Warm welcome from Catherine, who was careful to show us all the Covid rules that had to be observed, and was careful to always wear a mask/visor when speaking with us. That was appreciated. Free parking & wifi on site. The room was large, airy and perfectly clean. Comfortable bed, new carpet, etc. En-suite was a little odd looking from the outside, but clean & functional inside. (Always difficult to add ensuites to old houses! ) Good breakfast with excellent (strong) coffee! Good advice on local places of interest too! Would be happy to stay here again, if in the area.
