Loved the Twin Fin! Great location. Loved being able to get chairs and umbrellas at no charge. Loved having a restaurant on site. Great view. Only complaint was the housekeeping wasn’t great. When they did clean our room it was done very well.

Lovely Stay, Great Location
Lovely stay at The Twin Fin. Conveniently located by the park and trolley stop. The staff was excellent and took great care of us and our needs. The hotel is comfortable and right on the beach! We had an amazing front row view of the ocean and Waikiki. The hotel is updated, but still a little dated, but that didn't bother us at all. We loved having coffee and tea in the room, but wish they didn't use the little plastic pods. Also, we needed a table/dresser in the room and more places to hang things to dry. There was plenty of room, but no where to really set anything down or hang up.

Staff is great, room was rundown.
I just wanna say the staff was wonderful. Incredibly nice. No problem with that. Location is great. Can walk to everything. But valet is 52$ a night and I was told there was no other option but valet.. alright. The hotel popcorn ceiling was falling off in the hallways in multiple areas which was gross. The bathroom in the room was nothing to write home about. Also I can’t tell if the bathroom had a vent so when you showered it became so steamy after 5 minutes that water would drip down the walls. That’s great! So shower with the bathroom door open. Also good luck if you’re over 5’7” taking a shower. The head will spray your back cuz it’s so low, I had to squat lol. It seriously looked like the landlord special. Everything looked like it had 10 layers of paint on it, even the door hinges. For a RESORT that I just payed over $2,000 to stay at, I have stayed in significantly nicer rooms. I was actually disappointed. With how much I paid, I expected a much nicer room but maybe my expectations are way off, I dunno. I won’t be staying here again.

Not sure I would go back
As with most stays in Waikiki it was expensive for what was received. Classic charge for a resort fee each day even when the pool was closed due to weather. I think all would agree resort fees are unethical. To use a pool, towels etc? Why not a toilet flushing fee? Silliness. There for 5 nights not one attempt to tidy our room. I would have preferred our resort fee went to tidying our room versus a pool I did not use other than to have $14 beer. One last piece. I respect the initiative to be eco friendly but did not appreciate the constant lecturing by the pool music DJ who would rant for 10-15 minutes at times about his thoughts on garbage and how we are part of the problem etc. brutally annoying. Hint: it is still ranting even if you have pre-recorded bad Hawaiian music playing in the back ground. Basically I paid $14 for a beer and to get lectured to as I was the sole problem for the environment. Love the passion but read the room Man. We are there in vacation supported by an industry (assuming it’s the same folks paying you) that is less that truly concerned with the trajectory of the planet.

Fantastic Hotel
My go to hotel when visiting Honolulu. Employees are always kind and accommodating. We arrived around 8am and were able to check in right away. Was also able to get a little late of check out. The employees were informative of what was around to fit our needs. All though we didn't use any of their beach rentals, I was excited to see what I could rent on future trips

Be Careful !!
The hotel is no more than a 2 star. The rooms and very tired. Furniture has seen better days. Plugs, some work, some don't. We were stung twice by the hotel's sensors that apparently detect smoke in the rooms. The first time at 5am - when we're asleep and because i raised am objection, we were stung again the very next night. No visit to the room or anything normal like that. They just take the money from your credit card with no warning. And the above is bearing in mind, we're 2 adults and 1 child. So we never smoked in the room. I have taken this up with my Amex Credit Card to dispute the dodgy methodology this guys use. Its an absolute scam. And judging by other comments and reviews on Google, this is rampant at that hotel. Even the staff recognised the very obscure way they do this. The only plus point for this hotel is its location - literally a stone throw away from the beach. And by the way, 2 weeks after my check out and still waiting for my final invoice to be sent by email.

Your rates were low and all the added fees that the hotel tacked on made it way more expensive than planned for. No breakfast included extra fee. Only valet parking extra fee. Won’t choose to stay there again. Only view was from the terrace balcony it was nice except you have no privacy and share it with neighbors

This hotel is all about location...
This hotel is all about location - it's beach front with great views and easy walkability along Waikiki beach walk. We loved that part of it. However, I can't rate it very high because the hotel itself is too expensive for what you get. Plus, they have a $50/day resort fee that gives you wifi and a basic pool - that's it. The hotel & rooms are getting tired looking and it is not sound-proof at all... every sound can be heard. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Waikiki but would not choose to stay here again.

Third time there. Location, location, location! Right across from the beach next to Walls. The Sunrise Shack is awesome! Beach amenities at Jamie O’Brians Surf School like beach chairs and umbrellas complimentary is a very nice touch. Negatives Kids throwing footballs and other balls in the pool was rough! Would have been nice for the rest of us to not have to worry about getting hurt. The pool is nice but not that big. The rooms are clean but small. As I said before it was my third time there and was never told about the 21st floor deck and breakfast buffet. This last time I was there for two weeks! I heard another guest talk about. Wasn’t a deal breaker but would have been nice to know. I’d stay there again for short stays.

satisfied, for most part
selected a partial view room. Comfortable and affordable and close to the beach. My only issue i had was on day of check out, security came to room with a report indicating smoke detector detected some sort of smoking in the room, and we do not smoke. the report showed smoking from 9:05-9:30am or so. we allowed security guard in, they looked around and had us sign a form and upon check out was charged $509 fee in which once the hospital obtains the final results will allegedly be removed. NOT Happy about this as we were getting ready to end our trip, preparing to leave hotel to catch a flight… our last day, to be accused of something false. I will say security guard was friendly and respectful just didn’t like the complete accusation with some sort of printed report. report indicated that spray cans/aerosols can detect too, which i did have a deorderant aerosol but don’t understand how it only detected once throughout or 4 night 5 day stay.

Great views, dated hotel.
The property was in a great location with good views. Room was a little outdated for the price we paid. The biggest complaint was they didn't clean our room for the first 4 days, it was like we weren't in the system. We had to track down the actual cleaning staff to clean our room, it didn't help going to the front desk.
