My stay at Hyatt Place in Orlando was overall a pleasant experience. Check-in was quick and easy, with friendly front desk staff who made the process smooth. The room was exactly as shown on the website—clean, modern, and comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was decent. While there weren’t a lot of options, it was enough to fill you up and get your day started.
One downside was the housekeeping schedule. They consistently came very late—around 5 to 6 PM—which is unusual. Typically, housekeeping services rooms earlier in the afternoon while guests are out, so it was a bit inconvenient that they didn’t come during those hours.
The pool was not in service during our stay, which was disappointing. However, guests were allowed to walk over to Hyatt House and use their pool if needed, which was a thoughtful alternative.
The location was also great for guests visiting Universal Studios—it was just a few minutes away. The hotel also offered a free shuttle service to the park, which was very convenient and appreciated.
Another area that could be improved is the checkout process. There was only one agent at the front desk, and I had to wait quite a while as she assisted the guest ahead of me. Around checkout time, it would be helpful to have more staff available to manage the flow and reduce wait times.
One final note: parking is not free—guests are required to pay $22/day
Overall, it was a good stay with a few areas that could be improved to enhance the guest experience.
