The gate keeper makes you feel you are obligated to tip for any minor thing he does for you. They dont have a receptionist 24/7. The gate keepers sleep in the lobby. At 730am you hear the staff talking and making all kinds of noise.

The property was adorable and unique. It was surrounded by beautiful antiques that took me back to yesteryear. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating and we all had a magnificent experience at the health spa where we were treated like royalty. This a beautiful Hacienda from the 16th century with a building from the 18th century. Very well kept and maintained, clean all around. However, expect a lot of critters since it is located in a rural area. Some staff were nice and others were indifferent and less helpful.

Hacienda Del Carmen is an amazing treasure. The property takes you back 500yrs. As soon as you enter, one feels the history. The owner Monica Baez is 5th generation owner and has done an amazing job restoring it while keeping the culture and history intact. The spa and its services are remarkable. The ancient building has been turned into a 5star experience. Keep in mind that the Hacienda is over 500 yrs and in the middle of working ranches, so you will occasionally smell unpleasant scents but nothing that made our stay unpleasant. We will definitely be back.

El personal debería hacer recomendaciones sobre actividades, ya que mi esposa y yo solos tuvimos que averiguar que podríamos hacer. El ventilador de la habitación no giraba.
