Stay
Hotel was clean and decent. Breakfast was marginal and under stocked. Staff working at breakfast were rude to guests. Hot tub and pool area was nice. Fitness center was minimal.

It was a nice place but I would not say it was exceptional as the high ratings stated it was as I saw during booking. The room was normal. Bathroom was small. Cleanliness was good.

We enjoyed our stay at Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing I could see out of place was the curtain was missing a couple hooks so a small sag was visible.
The staff here were very pleasant and answered any questions we had.
We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub both nights we stayed. The pool area was open till 11:00pm which was nice.
Breakfast was as expected. Nothing fancy but enough to get the day started.
There is a shuttle bus that will take you to the downtown area and there is a stop right in front of the hotel. We didn’t use this but it’s not a bad idea because parking can be difficult in the downtown area.
Location was good. Only a mile from the very cool, cute, and quirky downtown area. We visited during Halloween and the entire area was decorated so nicely for the yearly Emma Crawford Coffin Races!!
Magnuson has another property closer to the downtown that looked very similar to the Pikes Peak hotel.
If we were headed back to Manitou Springs I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this property again.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Room could use some updating. Laminate flooring instead of the old carpet would be better. Needs more variety for breakfast.

Was a little disappointed with the fact that even though the hotel was not very full, we were given a room at the very end of the property right on the street, so we had to deal with a lot of street noise during the night

Coffin Races
We flew in for the 30th annual coffin races location was great for this event. Rooms were very clean they could have used a blanket in the rooms. To be fair I didn't call down and ask for one. The breakfast was very, very basic could have used eggs bacon or sausage something hot to start the morning. Other than that lovely visit.
