Check-in painfully slow, but over our stay reception staff were very helpful.
Dislike the fact that the hotel will not, on booking, guarantee a room with a true balcony - some have Juliet balconies
Dislike the 15 euro per day parking charge at a hotel where the majority of guests arrive by car.
Room. The hotel is approaching 20 years old and is due an upgrade and ongoing maintenance ( curtains unsecured, sink waste outlets dribble when filled. Towels and robes thin and need replacing).
Pool/Sauna. Facilities generally good, but areas require a thorough clean ( screen between inner and outer pool and tiles by pool steps). ? Who would pay €215 for a pair of mens swimming shorts at the spa shop.
Staff. Friendly, helpful and hard working.
Food. Not a fan of buffet meals, but the station managed food is plentiful and good quality. Spoilt for choice. Shame on the customer who took all of the raspberries and cream off a gateau.
Overall rating - very good, but could be better.
