As crowded as it is, we actually found places to wander that weren't as busy in Mexico city. It was easy to find food, shops, parks, and entertainment venues. People could not have been more helpful when we took various rides on public transportation. It's actually easy to be on a budget in Mexico City.

Rich with Mexican culture, historic architecture and many museos, parks. Parts are gritty but tourist/business areas are very nice. Metro is excellent, did not use buses. Used Uber after rip off incidents with taxis (no meter, doctored meter, etc.)

Mexico City was wonderful and extremely safe. There is always something going on and people doing something whether it is selling food/goods on the street, making music, or just having a good time. I highly recommend taking the time to experience it.

Do NOT take the hop on/hop off bus. It's mired in traffic and you'll spend all your time on the bus. Go to Coyoacán by Uber. Don't miss Tiotihaucan pyramids. Xochimilco is a tourist trap. People are so friendly and the streets are incredibly clean.

Full of energy and vibrancy, a surprise at a very turn. History, art, architecture, shops and gardens. Friendly and warm people, makes you feel safe and welcomed. If you can tolerate relentless traffic and jammed roads - it would be near to perfect

It can be an overwhelming city with its traffic and enormous footprint, but it's also many villages within a city. You can get really ambitious and go to every top spot in the city, or you can also have a wonderful time enjoying the neighborhoods.

So much to see and do in CDMX. Belles Artes, Ballet folklorico, el Zocalo, La Villa, Chinatown, Mercado San Juan, Museo Franz Meyer, Anthropology museum all not to be missed. All beautifully decorated for the holidays. Crowds but not crowded.

If you are a fan of food, culture and history of any kind, there is no better place to immerse yourself than exploring the historic center of Mexico City. We stayed for five days and even that was not enough to see all that we intended to see.

I have visited MEX many times and even lived there for three years. The level of culture, entertainment and gastronomy is off the chart and, in my view, under appreciated by tourists who may think that Cancun is all that Mexico has to offer.

"Great stay! Had all the necessary amenities! The staff was very kind and allowed my family and me to leave our luggage with them even after our time at ULIV was over, so we could finish our day in Mexico City. During my stay, I experienced rain, but the staff allowed me to stay in the lobby to wait for my Ubers, and due to the heavy rains, they also allowed Uber to come into their parking lot to avoid us from getting drenched. Overall, very clean rooms, the laundry room was a plus, and very well maintained. Would stay here again in the future. "
"Wifi slow at times. Two aecurity features missing that I am used to a secondary door lock and keyed elevator. Felt safe though as not a bad neighborhood. The whole surrounding area is a big bizzare and easy walking to good food and common very big tourist attractions.
