Nice Hotel with character
Came for an overnight stay, were settled into our room fast and given internet access for free. The area was quit until the neighbouring property started mulching trees, there were books with lists of restaurants and other conveniences provided and the use of sky tv, coffee tea etc. Everything in the room was neat and well presented, the room was clean. Bed was comfortable and showers water pressure perfect. Only downside to the room was the fridge made running noises throughout the night and the toilet would occasionally start to drip then the tank would fill.

Staff were very polite and friendly. Parking was adequate, Doesnt have a sink in the kitchen which I found weird and the free wi-fi was abit patchy which can be annoying(would of scored higher if wi-fi was better) but overall fit my needs (overnighter for work) perfectly.

Clean and comfortable but noisy
Stayed four nights - Motel is in a convenient location for driving into Whangarei or further north. Although the motel is dated, the room and linen were clean and with comfortable beds. . Helpful, friendly people. It is on a busy road making access into and out of the driveways tricky, would help if foliage was cut away from the exit drive. There was a lot of road noise at night.

Stayed here for a couple of days over Xmas when it was too rough to get out on our boat. Handy location, basic but tidy rooms. Pool, spa, bbq area. Would definitely stay here again.

Won't be going back.
I had one of the older rooms, the bed was a squishy nightmare that hurt my back and the pillows were like rocks, resorted to using a rolled up jacket as a pillow so my ears wouldn't ache. Shower head is so low had to squat to wash hair and the water pressure and temperature were so pathetic I have never been so angry at a shower, it really set me up for a terrible day with a sore neck and back and a level if grumpiness that can only be achieved by a terrible night sleep which was not alleviated by the roar of trucks passing by the single glazed window all night. Room dressings were nice, they have clearly tried to improve the room but the bed needs to be thrown out especially for the rates they charge.
