We only stayed one night but it was very nice. The hotel is conveniently located close to a bus stop. They give you a bus ticket that it is good for 7 days. We had rented a car but still used it. There is a garage to park your car if needed. The rooms are nice and modern but very plain. I wish there was a small fridge. There is no AC which I heard that none of the hotels have. It got a little hot during the night and leaving the patio door open wasnt an option due to the traffic noise. The breakfast was superb!! Amazing variety and delicious! I would stay there again.

One of the best place to stay near Ortisei. Check in process was easy for after hours. Amenities provided by the hotel was great; drinking water, hot water and ice at the common lounge. Hotel provided free bus ticket for us to use which was great help if you are going to Ortisei centre for dinner and cable car. Also was great help if you are using buses for nearby areas.

Lovely
Usual Italian friendly welcome and service. Room was a bit warm due to the high temperatures throughout the day, but cooled down nicely for bedtime. Breakfast was excellent Restaurant was very good serving some local Ladin specialties that I had never seen. Bus tickets to Ortisei were much appreciated as the parking is €30 for 8hrs. Makes Seceda less of a hassle, because most of the parking spaces are full by 0900hrs

6/10 Good

We had to leave another hotel that morning, and asked if we could store our bags for a couple of hours before check-in. They said we could but that it would cost 10 euro. That wasn't a great first impression. I guess they're going for an automated check in service in general, so it feels like there isn't anyone readily at the front desk, and very imprersonal. Then we noticed their coffee in the lobby had a charge too. It was a lot of nickeling and diming. The room was okay except it smelled heavily of cleaning products. The one great thing was the breakfast the next day. Overall, this was a mediocre experience.

4/10 Fair

While this is a cute hotel it’s very expensive for what you get. The rooms are teeny - teeny tiny. The towels are not in the bathroom so when you get out of the shower you suddenly realize that you need to walk into the room to get a towel. They don’t have shampoo and conditioner or lotion - just a small circle of soap labeled that it’s multipurpose. The room smelled - it seems they pump a scent into the room and it was not a pleasant one. The room also smelled like smoke the entire trip due to the people next door smoking in their room. The bar is very cute but the dinner menu was akin to school lunch. More like someone heats up food as opposed to a chef. My shrimp came out cold inside and the pasta sauce was basic. My husband broke his leg skiing and had to get emergency surgery at the Dolomite Sport Clinic. When we got back to the hotel we asked for a chair to put in the shower because they did not have accessible rooms and he was unable to bear weight on one leg. They said they would give us a patio chair that could get wet and we waited but they never brought anything so my husband had to lay in the shower floor to get clean. The breakfast buffet was a nightmare; too many people and not enough food. When I tried to bring my husband breakfast in the room due to his leg and the recent surgery they refused to allow me to bring plates to the room so I had to pile food into napkins. There are rules and there is common sense. This is more of a hostel than a hotel.

Smart Hotel Saslong is, in many ways, really more of an upscale (all private room) hostel in a fantastic location. Guests have to pay additional for every amenity (except wifi and parking). So, for example, you pay for fresh towels and to have your room serviced. Additionally, the beds are quite firm, the pillows flat. Spending minimal time there, we made it work as sort of a crash pad for our hiking adventure in the Dolomites. We would never stay there again, and would not recommend it to other travelers.

Be Smart and don’t stay in this overpriced Ibis.
I found the front desk person to be extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. I had booked a triple room which cost more than a double, because we were 2 adults and one child. But, due to an error while booking...I was real tired, somehow the number of people changed to 2.Even though the triple room is considerably more,I was charged $80 for the extra person. The lady at the front desk was not willing to offer any assistance, however that is not why I am giving this hotel such a bad review. I felt the attitude was terrible. I accept that I made a error while booking, and accepted the extra charge, though I think it was too much. It was her attitude, so unfriendly.... Overall as well, because of my check in being so poor, the hotel seemed like an overpriced Ibis Hotel. Very small. There was also a light outside my window on the exterior wall that could not be turned off. The final nail in the coffin, this low budget hotel charges you for the toiletries..$12 euro of all things. I never mind spending money for a quality experience, however once I have paid for the room I really dislike it when during the stay you are racking up more charges, especially for soap!

I would stay there again!
It was basically a stopover on our way to a Refugio in the Dolomites. Good bus service right outside the door to take you to the towns in the valley and the lifts up into the mountains. Basic services provided and you pay for extras. Breakfast buffet was generous as was the evening buffet. If you eat dinner between 5 and 7, you pay 14.50 euros for the same buffet you pay 19.50 euros for after 7.
