The pool was smaller in person than advertised. It was also empty (but it was also a Monday and the day before the new mandated curfew when I checked in). Also, it sucks that breakfast wasn't included (check "available" and "included" very carefully). But the hotel overall was nice. The room and bedding were nice and comfortable, but the bathroom layout, in my opinion, was an even better indicator that Cedros was, in fact, a luxury hotel. Overall, the stay was nice, except the music playing on the speakers was a bit loud (I doubt many people go to Ecuador looking forward to hearing Taylor Swift - and if I had a laugh emoji I'd use it). Also, it would've been a little convenient if the room had a small fridge, but that didn't take away from it.
My only real issue was the location. I felt a tiny bit isolated from a lot of other more local food options, but that's because I'm used to staying in the central part of Guayaquil close to Iguana Park.
I guess if you want a comfortable stay to get away from the noise and the hustle of Guayaquil, then Cedros Inn is perfect. The staff was great, too. They helped me get a taxi to the airport - and the day of the curfew, too.
Thank you, Cedros.
