10/10 Excellent

We recently stayed at Creag Mhor Lodge during a road trip through the Scottish Highlands, and it was easily one of the most memorable parts of the journey. The lodge itself is full of charm—an elegant, historic building with stunning views of Loch Linnhe right from the front door. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, scenic, and authentically Highland then this is the perfect place. I’d return in a heartbeat.

This is a lovely property! The staff is friendly and so helpful. They take extra precautions for safety which my police husband appreciated. Even if this area is already very safe. The parlor is absolutely stunning. We loved the breakfasts which were nutritious and delicious to get us ready for day long hikes. Thank you staff at Craeg Mhor. We hope the puzzle got finished!

Dear Travelers — You will find a precious gem in Creag Mohr. There is a deep, inspired peace in this location, which is a former bishop’s manse. You cannot beat the view across the loch. The food is delicious and comforting, and the living room area so cozy we did not want to leave. We can’t wait to return.
2-night trip

10/10 Excellent

My husband and I were at Creag Mhor for the third time in 8 years. The owners are extremely welcoming, and offer their hospitality by way of a peaceful retreat in a relaxed, elegant environment. As we were checking out, I learned that they were short staffed. We had no idea, as everything ran like clockwork, and the owners and staff were a highly efficient team. We hope to be able to come back a forth time.

4/10 Poor

This is advertised as a four star hotel but it's really about 2 1/2. They have a nice sitting room and a bar but very limited dining options, and it's not really within walking distance of any place other than a gas station. Also, the water pressure is awful--it's like taking a shower with a water fountain. They do have a notice in the bathoom that says something like "our building is old and we want to preserve that so the water pressure isn't very good". But they should put that on their website. Also, many of the rooms (including mine) are right next to a busy highway--difficult to sleep. And, while the check-in clerk was pleasant, the manager was very rude.
