Unique and Lovely Stay
What a treat! This is a place you come back to and just enjoy the grounds. Rooms are spacious and clean with beautiful landscaping surrounding and a quick walk to the on-site restaurants, gardens, and museums. Free breakfast and no pet fees were a huge plus! Would recommend trying to stay in a room that is not on River Rd if street noise bothers you. The road is quite busy and you can hear vehicles driving by at all hours.

The grounds are stunning. The staff is very very friendly. The food was amazing. The only reason I gave it four stars was because there was zero water pressure in our room. The walls were thin and we could hear quite a bit from our neighbors. Other than that, we couldn’t have been happier.

The Inn is a great place and we thought it looked lovely on the website -- but it exceeded all our expectations when we actually stayed: beautiful decor, fantastic setting, spotlessly clean and the food on site is great too. Our 2nd stay here and it’s perfection! Room was comfy, clean and everything you want for a restful sleep. The on-site restaurants are fabulous! We had the buffet breakfast 2 mornings at the Dixie Cafe and dinner at the Carriage House - all 5-star experiences. Highly recommend!

I LOVE HOUMAS house it’s so beautiful & breathtaking the staff & tourist are so FRIENDLY !!!! Plus the Food is DELICIOUS, free Breakfast was awesome the BEST !!! Then the carriage house was & always is DELICIOUS & FANCY !!! The Boutique or Gift Shop has the MOST UNIQUE & amazing gifts plus the WAX MUSEUM is INCREDIBLE & VERY INTERESTING the history is the most informative & enjoyable stuff to read about & also look at we loved OUR stay & we will DEFINITELY GO BACK & STAY again !!!

Houmas House is a fantastic activity. The grounds are well maintained, the restaurants are outstanding, the Inn at Houmas are excellent with the exception of road noises. We were given a room next to River Road. Vehicle noise were loud.
