Location location location

Reception was so friendly and helpful. Went out of his way to make sure everything was right. The location is excellent with bars and restaurants. Room had tea and cofffee, plates , glasses even a fridge. We took a dog which was no problem. Parking in underground car park 800m cost €20 with discount from reception.

Wonderful stay at Pensión Sarriegi

I went to San Sebastián with my partner, sister and brother-in-law for a week’s vacation and to celebrate my birthday. The Pensión was amazing in terms of location - central to the beach and River and in the Old Town. In addition the Hotel was clean and Laura and Gita were very friendly and helpful.

Great location!

Well thought out accommodation in the heart of the bustling old town. Very friendly and helpful staff. The downside of being so close to the action is noise, but we expected it and didn’t bother us. Eco points dropped for having those small plastic containers for shampoo and shower gel. Please replace with refillable containers! 😊 All in all an inexpensive stay in the midst of the town which is clean, modern and friendly. Oh! And the shower was amazing!!!

Our experience at this pension was disappointing. The room was much smaller and more basic than the photos suggested. The air conditioning was broken, and despite asking twice, it was never fixed, making the stay uncomfortable. Road noise was constant, the pillows were thin and uncomfortable, and there was no hot water on the first morning. The staff were nice but did not speak English, which made communication difficult. On the plus side, the location is good, and there is a lift to the second floor, but overall, I would not recommend staying here.

Excellent location and big rooms. Laura was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The rooms were cleaned everyday and it was done very nicely and quickly. There is plenty to do around the guest house. The main pinxto bars are only a few yards away and the promenade is a short walk. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit. The property is pet friendly as well.

We had a great stay at the pension house. Rooms were well equipped and functioned great. Access to rooms was very easy and the staff was very friendly. The location is ideal for those seeking a truly authentic experience. One minor issue is that our room faced the plaza below and was very noisy at night. Nothing too serious to ruin the trip my any means but just something to be aware of if you want a quieter experience. Overall excellent stay and would book again

The Pension is in a great area, very close to everything. The place was very clean. Our main complaint was the bed, it was so hard we had a terrible three nights. This was our 4th hotel in Spain on this trip and all other beds were super comfortable. Maybe because everything is from IKEA???

Basic eco lodging

Great location, very friendly staff. Room was very sparsely furnished with Ikea basics. One chair, one mini desk, a clothing rack with mini fridge and a firm-to-uncomfortable bed. There was hardly any area to set your things down in the bathroom and the towels were thin and small. Only shampoo was offered as toiletries- no bar soap/bath gel for the shower. There was no art in the room at all- white walls only. We could hear the check in desk conversations through the door, as they could likely hear us. One Nespresso coffee pod per person per day was issued to use in the communal kitchen area.
