I really enjoyed my stay here for over a week. Andre, who was really helpful helped me with local information and arranging me to pay by credit card regarding a couple of day tours. shervanna (if I've spelt her name correctly) was also very helpful. We arrived during a particularly busy city festival. This made finding the hotel and parking quite challenging but not any fault of the hotel or staff. The hotel itself is gorgeous. All the antiques around the hotel felt like you were staying in a museum. The center courtyard was beautiful with so many plants. It was a great first introduction to Ecuador for us! The hotel was very clean, staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. I would prefer a slightly softer bed and maybe softer and more plush pillow. A fan for the room would also be nice, some white noise to drown out the city noise at night would be helpful. It was especially loud at night with the festival in full swing. Still a wonderful place to stay!
