A nice place to stay for an authentic experience. The host is very responsive to any questions you’ll have. If hiking be aware the house is about 2km from the trail and you have to descend the amount you climbed to get back to the road- hike back up approx 45 minutes. Be sure to set up food/transportation if you need them 2 weeks in advance.

So much welcoming!!
We as a couple, so much enjoyed our stay at Guest House Kumano Yasai. The owner was kind and knows local well. The guest house welcomes one group per day, so you can make your stay special there with your loved ones. I guess the owner( Japanese) speaks English fluently, so you don’t need to worry about language! Meals were also amazing! Her bentos made us happy and got more energy to attack Komanokodo next day!
We definitely go back to Guest House Kumanokodo again!
