Room had a horrible smoke smell and was not as clean as advertised. The lamp shade was broken and there were stains all over the walls and in the bathroom. Dead bolt was also broken, which made me feel unsafe. I stayed 2 nights and they added an extra towel and took the trash out, but did not give extra soap and did the bare minimum. I arrived back at the Inn after working all day the 2nd night and was locked out of my room and had to go to the lobby to get my key card activated again. I will say the staff was nice, but the room itself was sparce and did not meet my expectations. I tried checking out and no one was in the lobby to take my key card. I waited 5 min until I saw a staff member and handed them my key. Would not stay there again.

I actually love this place, its cheap and serves its purpose. The staff is super nice. But they gave me the wrong room (i wanted a single but got a double) which its all good. I just got there after a long drive and wanted a big ass bed. Just sayin. Other than that, i love it.

Overall not bad for the price
It’s decent for the price. The family that runs the hotel are very nice and helpful, but it’s clearly still being renovated and a lot of updates seem to be done by someone who wasn’t very experienced, i.e. painted over and missing crown molding and wall texture sprayed onto the window. The room was immaculately clean, and the room (king basic room) was open and spacious. The window unit took a long time to cool the room down and was pretty loud while it was running. The only downside to the stay was the other guests arguing outside our door late at night which staff unfortunately have little to no control over. Overall not a bad stay for the price point.

Great value for business travelers!!
One of the best, inexpensive stays I've ever enjoyed. Young family owned business but, unlike most other inexpensive motels, these folks seem to value pride and quality over profitability. They are renovating the property and my room has been meticulously clean on both of my visits. Friendly service and great value for regular business travelers like myself.

The Williamston Inn is the bare minimum required to be considered "Lodging". There was a bed, a phone, and a television. I was honestly quite surprised that I didnt see a marque boasting "Color Television". In all seriousness, the lasting impression came from opening the mini fridge to keep a jug of water for the week, and finding a half eaten tin of Jalepeno Cheddar dip and a mostly full Bojangles bag in there. Also, my room came fully stocked with 3 squares of toilet paper when I checked in. Then I asked for a roll and the reaction I got made me feel as though I had a ration limit that I had exceeded. All that said, I did not loathe my time there. The family that owns the Inn was very courteous, if a bit lacking in response time (they live behind the front office, so I didn't expect them to be Johnny on the spot). I liked that it provided shelter. Location is out of the way, and in my experience, I was given all the privacy I could hope for. The price was right too, since I really only needed the bare minimum... they provided that.

Will definitely stay again!!
Inexpensive stays are often risky. Not this one!! Room was clean and comfortable with all of the basic amenities. It's obvious that the ownership is working to upgrade and update the motel and is a real bargain for the price.

Tired old-fashioned motel
This is an old, inexpensive, and basic property being run by a young couple. The rooms are clean but spartan, very simply furnished -- soap and towels, but not even a plastic drinking glass. Unfortunately, fresh paint doesn't hide the effects of age, such as signs of multiple previous locks on an ill-fitting door and noisy heater/AC. The proprietors are not responsible for the loud noises in the middle of the night from neighboring rooms, but they didn't add to the ambiance.

Listen it’s a family owned business, so I can respect what they’re trying to do. But... when I went to go to bed I noticed that the all the sheets had various stains all over them. I was kind and quiet about it, and went to check out to seek other sleeping arrangements. They straight up charged me for the room never offered to refund my money.
