The good: the rooms are nice sized and clean and the hotel is in a convenient location.
The bad (where do I begin):
- we stayed for four nights with our grandson, two of the nights the smoke alarm went off in the wee hours of the morning, the last night there it went off twice in a one hour period. I went to the front desk to check and found out it wasn't just our room it was the whole hotel. The attendant at the front desk said, "All I can do is keep turning it off when the alarm blares."
- although the hotel is marked as "no smoking" throughout, the small enclosed pool patio was where everyone came to smoke (including the hotel staff) and drink. Cigarette butts littered the area. Just low rent and not very family friendly. No towels for the pool.
- after being awaken twice by the fire alarm, I went downstairs to get the continental breakfast. At the appointed hour that it was supposed to be available, the lights were still out and the access to the food was still shuttered. I went to the front desk again to make sure that I wasn't wrong about the start time and was told by clerk that the person responsible for opening wasn't there yet. The front desk clerk eventually opened the food area so we could have access to dry cereal and yesterday's bagels but no hot food was out for the thirty minutes I was down there.
