If you're looking for a budget friendly option to wander Hollywood or go to a show nearby, this place was a great choice. The guy behind the counter, who I believe was the owner, was very helpful and kind. The room was clean and somewhat renovated. Small, but in plenty good shape for a night or two stay. The bed, while not luxurious, was sufficent, albeit noisy. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave which is a big plus if you have leftover food. Plenty of good places to eat within walking distance.
My biggest concern is not the hotel itself but the area around. It's fine during the day, but not really a place you want to be walking around after 9pm, so we took an uber straight back from the show we attended even though it was walkable.
Overall, if you're looking to save money and willing to sacrifice a little comfort, it's a good budget option and the owner is very accommodating and helpful. I would stay here again for a night or two if I was in town for a quick show.
