This place is exceptional -- the location, the grounds, the views, the open-air lobby and dining areas, excellent breakfast buffet, the beach and pool. Even though the bathroom is somewhat dated and other areas could use some attention, the staff was helpful and friendly and I would give this resort one of the best ratings in The Caribbean (and I've been around)!

Amazing!
An Amazing find! Great room, ( quality sheets and towels) and helpful staff. Right on the beach and always a bed available. Good swimming and snorkeling - saw lots of different species of fish. A few minutes walk into the cute ‘village’ with great informal restaurants - you feel you’re in France with the food- AND a boulangerie!! Definitely would return!!

RUDE STAFF, BEYOND RUDE. If you are not fluent in french, all staff members will pretend not to understand you. This place had broken beds and rooms in a BEYOND aweful state. I should have trusted the reviews and saved my money. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY that was spent on this hotel.

We had a four nights stay at Hotel Bakoua, and we loved the proximity to the ocean and the coconut bar where you could get drinks and food during the day while you were on the beach! Loungers and umbrellas on the beach were really nice and the beach was clean and not crowded. The hotel was a little old and needed some updates. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were nice although there was a drought and we didn’t have water one night! They gave us plenty of bottled water! Restaurants were nice and all the stuff were great! It was a great location close to the Creole village with lots of shopping and restaurants within five minutes walk of the hotel , the hotel was lit up really well at night and you felt safe walking with security all around. We would stay there again as it was very reasonably priced and we loved the beach. We had 12 friends staying there at the same time so we were a big group and they managed to seat us all together in the restaurant , and the food was pretty good. I would give the hotel an overall 3 to 4 star rating.

Bien mais peut mieux faire
Bel hotel parfaitement situé qui meriterait cependant un petit rafraîchissement Coffre hors d’age qui ne fonctionne pas, peinture a rafraichir etc Personnel tres sympathique mais gros problème de serviettes. On a reservé deux nuits aucune serviette de plage disponible a leur kiosque mais au lieu de nous dire qu’ils n’en auront jamais a chaques fois ils nous disaient de repasser dans 1h/1h30 donc en plus grosse perte de temps pour rien On s’est finalement resolues a prendre nos serviettes de douche mais qd on a demandé de les changer car elles etaient pleines de sable il n’y avait plus de serviette de douche pour personne apparemment pénurie generale de serviettes en tout genre. Mauvaise gestion a ce niveau qui a quelquepeu contrarié notre sejour Gros plus pour le bar de plage par contre clairement sous staffé apres 14h on y attend des plombes car manque de personnel Il faudrait aussi faire un systeme de commande depuis la plage avec des serveurs qui circulent pour prendre les commandes comme la plupart des hotels le font

L'hôtel dispose de tout ce qu'il faut en équipement pour passer un bon séjour. Chambre propre, bien équipée, salle de bains rénovée et moderne, lit laaarrrrgggeeeee et confortable. TV, bouilloire, chambre bien équipée. Restaurant, restaurant de plage, bar, animation musicale pour ceux qui le souhaitent, transats au calme pour les autres. Plage directement accessible. Buffet petit déjeuner très complet, avec même des spécialités locales, chose rare. Un petit couac avec un checkin retardé, mais cela peut se comprendre en pleine haute saison. Vite oublié donc.
