Everything you need to see in Coventry is central and a very short walk away. Bars, cathedral, shopping centre are all together. A hugh clash of the old and the new, rather like Warsaw. Not the most expensive place to visit but roads are a nightmare.

The Cathedral, museum and surroundings are very worth a visit. Driving on ring road horribly confusing. Sainsbury's and plenty of restaurants and fast food just round the corner.

Historically interesting. Lots of places to eat. Not too big, not too small. Coventry market is very impressive.

Having been brought up in Coventry in the 1970s and 80s I really appreciate the landscaping and pedestrianisation that has been done over the last few years. It was lovely to see families enjoying the precincts with children playing in the fountains.

Like any University city its geared up for students. That can be an advantage as it keeps the food and alcohol prices reasonable

Eating out even in takeaway is expensive in city centre. Outside of Coventry, more affordable.

"Breakfast 2 eat for £20 deal was good. Plenty of choice from cooked to continental.
Room was clean and bed comfortable.
Free wifi.
Train station close by, retial park walkable and casino next door "
"Having stayed in the Holiday Inn Darlington the previous night and having a terrible experience I was worried about what I would find at the Holiday Inn. Any concerns disappeared on entering. The hotel foyer was inviting, the reception staff professional, welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was immaculately clean, well furnished and inviting. The restaurant staff could not have been more helpful and in comparing with Darlington the quality of the ingredients and production of the meals were very good. The range of food at breakfast was again excellent.
Overall the experiece could not be faulted."
"Booked 2 nights at the ibis. Great location, close to the city center but are not bothered by the noise as it's away from the main center. Bed was comfortable, room had Aircon. Friendly staff. Nice decor. Ample parking. Will definitely stay again."
"The hotel is a quick 10/15 minute walk from the main shopping area snd cathedral area. It is modern and we enjoyed the air conditioning and comfortable beds. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but it looked nice!"
"Great service from check in, around the bar and check out. Room was perfectly clean, clean bathroom with powerful shower. Extremely comfy bed and amazing pillows!
There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but free tea and coffee in the bar for members and it actually got you out of bed and up so this wasn’t an issue!
Close enough to the arena to drive or taxi there, was around 5 miles, and the taxi cost £8.
Amazing host, already pre booked another stay."
