I'll avoid it in my travels. Dirty (hair in the coffee cup was a nice touch...), unfriendly; happy to leave fast that place.

It was a good experience to sleep in the underground room, dark and quiet. The restaurant served us a nice breakfast. We also enjoyed the underground display explaining the area, the history and of course opals.

Very slow service
The service in the restaurant was terribly slow. When we got our $42 steak, it was cold.

We booked 2 rooms because there wasn’t a family option (Which was an expensive decision) We ended up having to pull 2 mattresses into the other room as the other room was so full of cigarette smoke it was unbearable! When I told the staff the next day, they didn’t care at all! No apology at all! A very disappointing, expensive stay! Would not stay again!!!!

Not family friendly
Room was dusty and dated this definitely isn't a 4 or even 3 star hotel. We stayed for 4 nights were only were given 2 towles, had to get more from reception and the bin wasn't emptied well we were there. Be warned if you're planning on bringing kids here the walls are thin and screaming/ yelling/ loud music and other *after hour activities* can be easily heard all hours of the night. Definitely not worth the price, went with this place as I believed going for the more expensive accomodation would mean better facilities/ service this was sadly not the case.
