Great hotel. Close to the beach,
Great hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly Activities are close by. Nice quit side of the island so I would definitely stay on that side again. Be prepared to pay the US prices. Also beds were not that great. Could be a bit better. My wife and I went 2nd week of June and it was sunny 3 days and rained all day 1 and part day of 1 and was still a great time in the pool. Bring bug spray, a lot of sunscreen, your own snorkel gear and food for the mornings.

Tortuga club
Great place to stay. Staff is very friendly and professional. Great rooms. Very nice resort. A bit more secluded from the rest of the island which makes it nice for families.

Incredible luxury and view
The Room was well configured for up to 6 adults. We had 3 adults and two children. There were 4 TV's and 3 DVD players. The Kitchen was extremely clean and well organized. Lots of counter space for meal preparation. The washer and dryer worked great. The beach was less than 200 ft from our elevator door. The three pools all had swim up bars and the service was outstanding.

The worse!!!
They had construction right next door to my room. From 4am until 1pm. It was unfair and annoying. I contact the manager and they apologized but I still didn't get any sleep

Lack of sand in beach area.
Though I knew that the shore water (swimming area) would be rocky, the pictures displayed the area as sandy, which I felt was misleading. The main reason for choosing this hotel was that it was associated with a scuba diving agency. It was a great idea since "Red Sail Sports" was oustanding in personel and professionalism; and would be the reason for my return. There were several pools as part of the hotel but I came for the ocean.

OK resort on great island.
Nice, modern, clean, newly remodeled room. Bed was too soft for my preference. Staff was excellent. Zero amenities included with room (except use of pool). Expect to pay $10 per day for room tax plus around $100 per week for room utility fees. Beware of cost of drinks purchased at poolside bar. I was charged $12 CI ($16 USD) for a single drink. Food at David's restaurant & Mimi's dockside bar is good but way overpriced. Save yourself some money and go off the resort to eat out somewhere. Even the resort sponsored events were scams to overcharge for food ($10 USD for a single cheeseburger, $7 USD for s single hotdog, $5 USD for 2 scoops of ice-cream). No free Wi-Fi except for on Mimi's dock bar (which only worked about 1/2 the time). $30 fee if you happen to loose a towel. Resort was nice and peaceful but not as nice as some others that I've been to. With all the extra fees involved, an all inclusive resort seems like a better option. Resort is on eastern side of island so its about a 45 min - 1 hr car ride to Georgetown. There are a handful of local eateries nearby (within a 10 min drive). Rum Point (recommended) is about a 25-30 min ride from resort. Lots of very good snorkeling locations all over island. Very good destination for snorkeling lovers. Overall a good trip. I would give the hotel a 4 out of 10 just because of the nickel & dime charges that they try to charge you for. I would rate Cayman Island an 8 out of 10 overall (very expensive overall).

Amazing Service
I absolutely loved the service, everyone was very attentive of my 1 year old son and I. They would check up on us often and even provided us with necessary information on activities we could do. It was so relaxing to be there and I definitely want to stay at the Morritts again.

Beautiful quiet beach
Second time at this hotel for us. We love the sandy beach, snorkelling and quiet location. Some of the rooms have been renovated but some of the facilities need refreshing, especially the lobby and gym area. Because of the remote location, the hotel should make a special effort to give its guests some options for evening entertainment other than "theme" meals. Generally the staff are very friendly but the front desk staff are lacking in this aspect and do not go out of their way to be helpful. Love Mimi's bar/restaurant. My husband is an avid snorkeller but unfortunately had an unpleasant experience with a shark due to the fish boats cleaning their fish on the inside of the reef which is an area written up in the tourist magazines for its excellent snorkelling. We were told the boats were doing this on the outside. Hope this situation is rectified as these sharks (which were fed here at one time) are getting larger and hungrier.

Wonderful stay. Exactly what we needed. The one bedroom waterfront with a full kitchen was great. Onsite snorkeling that my husband loved and the pool and beach huts are great!

Nice hotel, in quiet area ,on the beach
Not luxurious but very satisfactory from our point of view. There are organized daytime and nighttime activities. However, we enjoyed a quiet vacation and were happy to just read and relax by the pool and the ocean and to walk along the beach.

Great "away from it all" resort
I stayed in a 1 bedroom studio which was perfect for 2 people. The bedroom was a little on the small side with just a queen bed which felt more like a full. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials for cooking. I upgraded to an ocean front and it was so worth it!!! the view was just amazing! the studio was spotless and in very nice condition. The location was pretty far out from anything but after driving to 7 mile beach and seeing all the hustle and bustle away from all the chaos. for the price I paid, this was way more than I expected. I would definitely stay here again

Wonderful resort ON the beach with fantastic views
From start to finish this was a great place to stay. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly and informative. The room (one bedroom, kitchenette) was clean and the kitchen had everything you need (except for the food) to enjoy your stay. There is a small grocery store across the street from the resort for incidental items, however I would recommend getting your groceries near the airport before you travel to the East End (which is away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the tourists). The Morritt's Tortuga club has Mimi's which is a beach bar on the water, we found the food excellent and the nightly entertainment was Karaoke which was also very fun! David's restaurant also had nice menu items and was more formal than Mimi's for when you want to dress up. We visited 2 of the 3 pools. The Grand Pool overlooking the ocean with the swim up bar was fantastic! I went to the gym 2 days out of the 4 we stayed and found it adequate. They don't provide towels in the gym area so you need to bring your own from the room, it also had a slight odor (located in the basement) but that went away within minutes. Our room on the 2nd floor right on the beach had fabulous views and was convenient to the beach. Everything on the resort property was within 1 minute walking distance. The beach chairs and huts were included in the stay. You could also rent jet ski's and other items. I snorkeled the entire time and had a blast! VERY SAFE and a great place!

Outdated Hotel far from anything
Morritt's Tortuga Club is a very outdated hotel that does not have much going for it. The rooms are decent size with kitchen, handy to avoid the hotel restaurant and compensate the lack of any restaurants in the area. No free wifi, just several options for paid connections. Overall a very Super 8 motel feel, not the Cayman holiday you would dream of.

Perfect for us to get our kids certified
Merritt's was perfect for us,,,rooms and food were great. both of our teenagers 14,17 went through the dive certification course provided by Redsail, they did a great job thorough and patient.... highly recommend you show up with a doctors letter or on line health form filled out if you plan on taking ANY dive course including a refresher. Just remember you are on the face side of the island, so entertainment is limited...

Nice Place, but...
Great place and great staff. Only issue was access to the internet--slow and expensive for 24 hours. Wanting to do a lot out doors, the only way to check the weather was by internet. No one we talked with seemed to check the weather. Had 8 inches one day!

Somewhat dissapointed
There were aspects of this location that were very appealing - quiet location away from the busy end of the island. However, the rates were expensive considering that this was anything but inclusive. The rate you pay covers only accommodation. Everything else, even the Wifi, costs extra. For what the nightly rate was, Wifi should be included. Much of the resort was in good condition but some areas appeared rundown and in need of repair. For a resort on Grand Cayman, I expected a fully landscaped property in wonderful condition. Pools (there are three) were great though. This location is perfect if you merely wish to come and tan in the sun. Snorkeling was OK though I expect it was better further out. However, you could not go further out for fear of being run over by the jet skis. Unless you require absolute solitude, best to stay closer to seven mile beach.

Morritts provides best value in Grand Cayman
Morritts is a fantastic kid friendly resort located on the laid back East End of Grand Cayman. We enjoyed our stay very much, The condo was super clean, modern and a comfortable home away from home. Snorkel and Dive trips can be booked on property. One of the best restaurants in Cayman, Tukka, is about a mile from Morritts.

Great beaches but need rental car
Need a rental car if your going to stay here. Got to the resort and tried to book day trips to stingray bay and 7 mile beach but we were told there are no cabs on the east side of the island. You get a host who is supposed to help you with all the things you plan on doing, unfortunately our host did nothing to help us. FYI, if you stay here and want to go to stingray bay but don't have a car, go next door to the reef resort, they have a day trip that has a shuttle that bring you there and back, we happened to find this out the last day on the island. On a positive note, tortuga divers were great and the dive shop is right on the resort.
