Solid hotel near Bryant Park and Times Square

Terrible Experience!!!
Our stay was terrible… I’m over 50 years old and I have never left a negative review for anything. When we arrived, our reservation had been cancelled by the hotel for no reason and they would only rebook us at 3 times the original rate per night. They sent us no emails about it or did they try to call. The room we ended up getting was so dirty. They ended up moving us after the first night but still should be ashamed of the first room. The computers were down and we had be let in and out of room on the 28th floor by security because they could not program keys. They had a fire alarm test that started at 7:30 am and lasted 4 hours during which time the elevators were down. Yes 28 flight of stairs if you needed to leave. Hot water in the shower was hot for a few minutes and then would go cold for about a minute and then get hot and the cycle just continued. I’ve machine on our floor was broken so you had to go up 3 flights of stairs to get ice or wait on the elevator for 5-7 mins because one elevator was broken.
I hate to have to write this but I truly don’t want anyone else to experience this. This was a once in a lifetime trip for us to see the Christmas Tree lighting. I have tried to call the hotel over 20 times to discuss my situation and have yet to get an answer or a return call.
Hilton… DO BETTER!

The hotel only had 1 working elevator for 36 floors. It would take anywhere from 30-45 minutes or longer just to get an elevator. We were on the 31st floor so there was no going up and down the stairs. The staff was very unwilling to help by using the service elevator.

Stay somewhere else!!!
The hotel is difficult to access. The staff was not very pleasant. Our Thanksgiving dinner was ice cold and had to be heated, and then the pumpkin pie came still frozen.
We asked for extra towels THREE times before they came. We asked to have our room cleaned and all we got was towels and two KCups for the coffee maker.

Amazing views and location!!!!
Stayed a weekend here for our 1
Year anniversary and we loved it. The view was absolutely stunning, the room was great, the bed was ok-not really comfortable but did the job. The staff are amazing and the location is great.

Disaster, disaster, disaster!
There was an issue between the Hilton hotel and hotels.com which resulted in the Hilton on Times Square cancelling our booking for four nights, WITHOUT NOTICE, which we only found out when we arrived and totally ruined our first night and put a real dampener on the whole trip!
Both this hotel and the receptionist were so unhelpful and wanted to do absolutely nothing to assist and asked us to step aside so they could deal with the guests who booked directly with them! The manager was called and never made an effort to even turn up even though they had ample time to do so! Hotels.com tried very hard to find us an alternative hotel at very short notice, we were on the phone for a total of 5 hours and finally got moved to another hotel 25 minutes away at half past 9 that night. The hotel was of an equal rating just further out than we would have liked and added a lot more Subway’s journeys than anticipated.
