Perfect location - plenty of restaurants (notably Emilio's, El Avion and Claro Que Si), bars and shops within very easy walking distance; you could also walk to the Manuel Antonio Park entrance and beaches if you wanted to (we had a rental car so chose to drive the short distance). Grounds and pool area are gorgeous and serene, with beautiful mature trees and flowering plants providing a sense of privacy. Pool area was very clean. The highlight of our upstairs room was the huge private saltillo tile patio with plenty of outdoor seating, a hammock, and wooden shutters. The sweeping view of the ocean at the bottom of the hill was spectacular. Monkeys ran over the patio railings and played in the trees every day and were literally close enough to touch. There were also a pair of scarlet macaws nesting in a nearby tree that we could watch from the patio. Reception and service were great. Daily cooked-to-order breakfast was included. No issues with overcrowding at the parking lot or pool. As for activities, we took a guided tour of Manuel Antonio and then swam at the stunning beach inside the park until closing time. We also drove to Marino Ballena National Park (the "whale tail" natural formation where you can see humpback whales in season) and took a sunset snorkel cruise from Marina Pez Vela in Quepos. Overall, this is a beautiful, relaxing and friendly place that we would definitely visit again.

I stayed at Villas Nicolas for a week so these are my observations. Pros: -Quiet and adults only -Location right on the main road -Large units with balcony and kitchen -Possibility to see wildlife like monkeys sloth and macaws from balcony Cons: -I paid for a ocean view but it isn't as depicted online. Its a partial view with most of it obscure by the forest. -Comes with a kitchen but no tea or coffee provided -Unit is very dated and in need of a reno. Our door lock knob didn't even lock unless the key was used to lock and unlock. -I understand we are in the forest but the unit is full of insects, bathroom and kitchen had tons and found some on the bed as well. -Breakfast is basic with 2 options only. Rice, eggs and fruits or 2 small pancakes. -Booked a queen bed but got 2 double beds. Bed was loud and wood frame made a lot of noise

Great place, very friendly staff. Clean and well located near plenty of restaurants and bars. Nice small pool. You feel like you are in the jungle with wildlife, it’s great. Place feels safe. A bit more variety with included breakfast would be nice. If you get room 5 or 5L be ready to walk up and down a few stairs.

We liked this hidden gem of a property. It was easy and the property was beautifully laid out with plenty of landscaping and wildlife in and around it. Staff was warm, friendly and welcoming. Had plenty of privacy, and centrally located. Rooms were cozy along with covered and open porches overlooking the Ocean. Beautiful view!!!! We would have liked to have had at least a microwave in the room to couple with the coffee maker and fridge. Also, we would have liked the porch door to have had a lock on the door as well, not just the room. We had the free breakfast and it was excellent, but was surprised we had to pay extra for a few slices of bacon to go with it. Im not sure, but they said the bar area might be open sometimes but we never seen it open, would have like to had a drink bedside the beautiful pool they had. Overall, we would definitely come back to this place in the future, Thankyou for letting us stay and check your place out!

Atendimento impecável, sempre solícito e com simpatia. O café da manhã poderia ser mais variado, porém é bem feito e com horário a partir de 6:30. Vale destacar que pode ser necessário passar por alguns lances de escada para chegar ao quarto. Não foi incômodo porém pode ser para algumas pessoas. Localização próxima ao Parque, restaurantes, mercado, e longe da confusão de Quepos.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villas Nicholas. Beautiful grounds. We saw more wildlife from our terrace than we did in the National Park. We enjoyed our free breakfast every morning. Everything cooked to perfection.

Very kind staff, the pool is a tad deeper than one would anticipate but was sup lovely to float around in after a long hot day; yummy breakfast freshly cooked for you; great view of the ocean; beautiful macaws flying around AND a/c! Would stay here again no hesitation!

Close to Manuel Antonio. Many good restaurants in walking distance. Helpful staff. We had a flat on our rental car and they assisted us in getting it fixed.
