Room number 7 is very big and met our needs entirely. I only wish I could have adapted the room temperatureto our needs. I did not try to open the windows. I was afraid to try to open the windows, since it's a very old property, but I wish I could have had some fresh air. A wonderful large bar of lavender soap was in the room, and it helped to scent the room. Also a very cute dish of chocolates was waiting for us. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to the owner Mr. Ropley, and the two cooks/ housekeepers Amy and Danielle. The breakfast was wonderfull, freshly cooked, served hot, and was a different breakfast everyday. The Inn was located within 7 to 15 miles of every place we wanted to go to. It doesn't have a very attractive walkway to the back entrance, but do not let that make you think the establishment isn't charming because it is very charming.
Additionally, if you like wine tasting you might try Germantown Winery on Frankstown Road, Portage, PA. A vintage gift shop called Chatterbox in Portage, and a local restaurant/bar called The Boxcar in Lily, PA
