I was really looking forward to my 10-days stay at Port de Plaisant Hotel because of its beautiful location. However, my experience was disappointing from the start.
When I arrived, there was garbage in front of the door to my room, which left a bad first impression. To make matters worse, there were big bugs plague in the room, and no one came to help even after we reported it. We had to go to the supermarket ourselves to buy bug spray and continued buying it throughout our stay just to manage the issue.
The service also left a lot to be desired, especially from the ladies working at the reception. There was no follow-up when we called for maintenance or requested services like bedroom cleaning or specific towels. It often felt like they forgot about us, and it was frustrating to have to constantly remind them to address issues.
The TVs in both of our rooms didn’t work for six days, despite multiple requests for assistance. This lack of responsiveness and follow-up made the stay uncomfortable, especially considering the price we paid.
On the positive side, the bellmen and other gentlemen and security worki at the hotel were very polite and helpful, which was a small comfort amidst the overall poor service. While the hotel itself is beautiful and the area is lovely, the lack of proper customer service and the numerous unresolved issues made the stay disappointing. I don’t think I’ll be staying here again.
