If you're lucky, you might be able to see the red camellia that blooms in the white snow. From April, you can see yellow rapeseed blossoms. There are many things for couples to enjoy together, such as Baekyado, a walkable island, Seo Market full of gourmet restaurants, and Cafe Rostia, which features a large swing in front of the sea.

    Hyangiram Hermitage

    Hyangiram Hermitage, meaning looking at the sun, is located on Geumosan Mountain, famous for its sunrise spot. If you go up the steep hill, you will see the Hyangiram Hermitage Ticket Office. There are two ways to get from the ticket office to the main hall. If you choose the stairway, you can find the statue of a young monk that expresses 'See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil' of Dhammapada. After passing Deungyongmun, a gentle walking path begins, and when you climb to Daeungjeon Hall, you can see the open sea, so you will feel like your hard work is rewarded.

    Baekyado Island, which was previously only accessible by boat, has been connected by a bridge since 2005, making it more convenient to travel by land. When you climb to the top of Baekhosan Mountain, the main peak of Baekya Island, you can see the beautiful scenery of the Dadohaehaesang National Park.     Hamel Lighthouse is an unmanned lighthouse built to commemorate Hamel's return to his home country. Hamel is famous for the Journal of Hendrick Hamel. The nearby Hamel Pavilion is open to the public with no entrance fee, and you can learn historical facts about Hamel's drifting.     Angel Mural Village is located on the hills of Goso-dong and overlooks Yeosu and the sea. Divided into nine zones, each zone of the village sports a unique theme. You can even see murals of Tazza and Sikgaek, two works by manhwa (comic book) artist Huh Young-man, a Yeosu native. Climb to the top of the village where glimpses of old Yeosu can still be seen, and you'll end up at Opodae, which offers a panoramic view of Yeosu. Angel Mural Village is popular with younger crowds thanks to the numerous photo spots and charming cafes. The area is bigger than it seems, so plan your visit well in advance.
