Good location if you drive and going for fjord tour .Basic room with shared bathrooms and toilets .Limited restaurants but there is a supermarket about six mins. walk across the bridge . Room is clean but small .

If you go to this area is for Fjord tour, instead stay in the expensive town Flam, I would suggest you saty here in this town Gudvangen and in this much less expensive hotel. because the cruise tour of Fjord is anyway between the above 2 towns, you can get on from either one.

The hotel room had a lot of dust on the blinds, and cracked window paint. The picture of the hotel grounds looked beautiful on the Expedia site, but the grounds were not pretty at all. We also thought that there was a restaurant at the hotel. It was not open when we were there. The internet access wa non-existent in our room, but IK when in the lobby.

Hotel room very rudimentary. Very expensive to what the hotel offered in comparison with others.

It is a very basic hotel in the area where booking on a short notice was problematic. I was grateful to find this accommodation. I had a room with a shared bathroom, which was very clean. The room itself had a sink, which was very welcome. Everything was super clean and comfortable, but, as I mentioned, very basic, and I was surprised by the price tag of around 200USD. There was no wi fi on the day I stayed there.

Very comfortable hotel room. There was a washer/drier, which is a real plus. Biggest negative is that it is really confusing where to check in to the hotel-- it is not at the hotel but in another area about 100 meters away.

Perfect setting for a Lee Child novel.
This hotel would be the perfect setting for a Lee Child novel. But it was also very comfortable and clean after a long day’s travel, and the staff were helpful. Very mainstream touristic area, with Viking park and outlet store, so not fully my cup of tea. Beautiful fjord however.

The hotel was older and the wifi did not work it is an out of the way location with no view from the room. I repeatedly emailed a request for an invoice and got no reply as no one at the desk at night. Next time I will stay in Flam

Room was big and functional. Having kitchen and fridge was a nice addition. Bathroom was a bit small, but not an issue.

Good spot for a quick stop off on the way to Bergen - I was pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable the rooms and shared facilities were as I normally don’t book a shared bathroom but everything else was booked out. Staff didn’t have much info to share in travel options which, given it’s the main function of the towm, seemed odd. The bakery was great and the main hotel did a lovely breakfast.

Lovely location
Nice location but the blinds were damaged (couldn't be fully closed) allowing the light through, and the windows were rather fiddly to open/ close. One of the knobs on the shower door was missing. Despite these the stay was nice.

Our room in the budget hotel had a wonderful view of the waterfalls. The room was small but perfectly adequate for our needs. The bathroom facilities are shared but as we appeared to be the only guests it was not a problem and the showers are fantastic. It is only a very short walk to the ferry and bus terminal. Meals are available at the more upmarket sister hotel. The nearby Viking Village is a must see.

This was more like a hostel -- showers and toilets down the hall which didn't bother me one bit, just unexpected. The location was good and there were good food options nearby. The setting was truly lovely -- who couldn't love opening the window to waterfalls cascading nearby mountains!

We were surprised that there was no bathroom in our room. It didn't seem crowded but we were placed in the room farthest from the shared bathroom.
