Creepy staff
After signing the paperwork at check-in the man at the desk asked me “Do you need a date?” A very awkward question and one I did not answer. Is this a service provided by the Wingate hotels? After settling into my clean and tastefully decorated room I received a questionnaire from hotels.com asking about my check-in experience. I related the uncomfortable conversation and expressed my disappointment in the staff working the front desk. Fast forward to 11pm and my room phone wakes me out of a dead sleep. The creepy man at check in was calling to apologize for the “misunderstanding”. I was pissed at being woken so late and stated so and slammed the receiver down. It was 45 minutes before I calmed down enough to fall back to sleep.

A non-smoking facility they assigned me room that reeked of smoke. Moved me, on first floor. This room had plumbing problems, sink backing up. Loudest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Besting and banging all night. People screaming and running up and down hall. Too expensive for this!!

Didn't meet expectations
Was a little disappointed by Wingate in Murfreesboro. Definitely didn't match the standard in Canada that I've come to expect. Room was a little rough around the edges. Bed was small but clean and in the end that was all that really mattered. Continental breakfast was handy as well. Wouldn't stay here again though.
