This hotel is crooked and they have no problem robbing you of your money if you’re not vigilant on their charges.
First off, the front desk clerk overcharged my security deposit by $314. I was supposed to stay there for 5 days due to Hurricane Laura, but I left the next morning. I had to debate with the front desk clerk so they can figure out how to give me back the money for overcharging me. He had no clue what he was talking about and he was prepared to not do anything about it if I wasn’t so upset by the overcharge. I’ve stayed at hotels before and they don’t charge you double just to stay. Luckily my bank credited me back the money the hotel owed me.
So yes, I checked out Monday. Hotels.com had to negotiate with the hotel and guess what...that same hotel clerk told an agent to wait until 3pm to speak to manager about my cancellation. Well the manager never showed up. I checked out at 4pm and turned in my keys.
Btw, the elevator smells like urine and the hallways are disgusting. There’s paint clippings on the walls and it just feels eerie in the hotel.
All week, Hotels.com was trying to get some type of answer about my refund due to having a very unpleasant time.
Fast forward to Friday, I called to make sure the hotel wouldn’t charge me for additional days after I checked in Monday, and they claimed I never checked out. I spoke to manager, and he was very unprofessional and rude.
Also, the hotel closes next month. I will never stay at a Wyndham.
