Once renovations have finished, this will probably be a nice hotel. However, the un-announced noise from the ongoing renovation work was so unbearable that we couldn’t use the pool area. We asked the hotel staff why they hadn’t mentioned the renovation on their website nor on their own reservation system. They answered that this was on purpose!!! They claimed that they had informed Expedia about it, but this wasn’t highlighted to us when we booked.
They didn’t offer any type of compensation, and actually acted as if they didn’t care.
I spend around 100 nights per year in hotels around the world, and this is one of the worst treatments I have experienced in a long time.
All in all, I recommend finding another hotel.
